January 25th Challenge At Fred's Blog

Hello Crafters - Well, Fred, She Said has a "A Challenge Blog" now, and I thought I would join in for this one as it goes until Feb. 21. All you have to do is use one of Fred's digi graphics and base it around her Challenge Blog background. I have made my card into a Shadow Box card. Hope you like it and hop on over to Fred, She Said's Challenge Blog and join in with the fun. I wish I could capture the true colours of this card on my camera but have tried so am showing my best pic.

Hello Crafters - I thought I'd do the Jazzy Paper Designs Challenge #2 this week - I love music and used to play the piano before my hands tightened up on me - I just may try tickling the ivories again to exercise the stiff fingers. Any ole how, this week's challenge is after a disc cover of Milt Jackson - colours of red, white and black. These are awesome colours to work with and are some of my favs put together. Pop over to Jazzy Paper Designs and give it a go!

SUNDAY SKETCH & STAMP #20 - Ger's Sketch

Hi Crafters - There's another Sketch Challenge at SS&S and this time, it is Ger's Sketch. I thought I'd give it a try and hope you will too as it is a great sketch. The stamp and sentiment I used are from The Greeting Farm and the DP's are from Bo-Bunny "Sweetie Pie" series. I coloured the graphic with water colour pencils. Hope you like my take on the sketch and do pop over to SS&S and join in the challenge. There are some wonderful samples from the DT members to inspire you.......go for it.

Jazzy Paper Designs Challenge #1

Hello Crafters - The young lady that runs this blog (Tenia) is a Jazz Musician and also enjoys Card Crafting as well. She has put up her very 1st Challenge and I thought I would give it a go. The first challenge is taken from the front of a Jazz Disc by John Coltrane - I'm sure Tenia would love you to join in the challenge - there are only a couple days left so hop on over and see what it's all about! Soft Pencil Digi Stamps are sponsoring her first challenge. For my card, I used my Cuttlebug for texture, Cuttlebug Corners and Cricut Happy Birthday. My Digi Stamp is from DigiStampBoutique in the UK - isn't she the cutest turtle? I printed her out on turquoise CS (2X), coloured in her spots with a black marker and raised her head from the 2nd print. I also printed her out on white CS so I could colour in the bow, cupcake and also make her eyes pop out. It's a very simple card and I hope you like it.

SUNDAY SKETCH & STAMP #19 Clare's Sketch

I love trying "sketches" so have made my interpretation of Clare's Sketch over at Sunday Sketch & Stamp. It was a fun sketch to work with and if you like doing sketches, please be sure to pay SS&S a visit. There are lovely creations by their DT members to get you inspired. Well, I used DP's from Cosmo Cricket called "Earth Love". I love the colours - hope you do too. I stamped Sweet "Tilda" from Magnolia Stamps and sat her on a wood fence (Magnolia as well) and Tilda is holding her cute little dog. I thought I would try copics again - this is my second try and it takes me ages to do one picture (I practice my colours I want to use on a scrap piece of CS before I actually colour the picture) . I'm sort of half-way pleased with my copic colouring but have a lot to learn about blending the right colours together. As a result, I stuck to just a few colours ..... copics are lovely to use but there certainly is a knack to it ! Thanks for stopping by - would love to hear from you, so please leave a comment.

Another Card To Show You

Hello Crafters - Just made this card from a sketch! The DP are Basic Grey from the Lemonade Series. I wasn't that keen on the colours at first but I think they are growing on me. I stamped the ladies 3 times and 'pieced' them (I love these ladies) - finished up with a few stick-on pearls and prima flowers. Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by.

Cards for My "Kard Kids"

Hi Crafters:
Our daughter and 3 grandchildren are preparing for another card sale at church (they make & sell them about once a month - they are known as the "Kard Kids"). Well, I try and help out when I can and have a few cards to show you that I made for their sale. Most of them are made on the Cuttlebug and Cricut. I've had fun putting these together - hope you like them. Have a great day!
